Q&A

Q: What should I wear to class?

A:

Wear whatever makes you comfortable! The less clothing the better as more skin exposure allows for better grip to the pole. We recommend shorts and a tank top! Leggings are great for classes off the pole, but not recommended for pole related classes. Knee pads and socks are also highly recommended to keep on hand. We're a proud supporter of #SundayBumday, so feel free to show off the booty too if you so choose!

Q: What if I'm not "fit"?

A:

You don't have to be! One of the benefits of pole is that you don't have to come from an athletic background, or have a certain amount of flexibility or strength to start. All we ask is you show up with a good attitude, open mind, and the willingness to try something new! All of the above will be things you learn and gain along your journey.

Q: Am I too old? Too young?

A:

There is no such thing as "too old"! Pole is for everybody, every body, and every age! Competitions even have a 50+ category, we love our "Grand Masters"! Our classes are designed for those 18yrs and up, so we ask if you are under the age of 18yrs, contact us (with parent's permission) for a private lesson.

Q: Do men pole dance?

A:

Ab-so-freaking-lutely! NIPS is a proud supporter of people from all walks of life Poling. Men, women, non-binary, LGBTQ+, etc. The pole doesn't discriminate and neither do we! Our space is all-inclusive and we're proud of it! On that note, if you are caught bullying or discriminating, especially on our property, you will be banned from the studio. No exceptions, no second chances. Treat others as you would like to be treated!

Q: There are Pole Competitions?

A:

Yes, yes, yes! There are many different organizations nation wide that hold competitions. And many different categories to choose from. Maybe you want to tell a story, show off your sensuality, or put on a comedic show - there's a competition for you! There have even been recent talks of Pole becoming an Olympic event! How exciting!
